Pinnacle High School Profile

Pinnacle High School is a community school whose purpose is to provide a learning laboratory for students while serving as a resource for community educational needs. Pinnacle rewards the highest standards of sportsmanship and supports the precept that what is learned and what is won are both worthy outcomes. We challenge students to meet the highest standards of academic, artistic, and athletic performance.

High school is an incredible 4-year journey for both students and parents and it is a very important part of a student's life. These years will be filled with exciting games and events, new friendships, great teachers and incredible opportunities. Set on a beautiful college-like campus, Pinnacle is a school focused on continuous improvement. Our mission is to inspire achievement and facilitate a community environment focused on rigor, relevance, and relationships. We are committed to meeting the individual needs of all students through a rigorous academic program, excelling athletics, amazing performing and visual arts, and thriving extracurricular clubs. Pinnacle's National and State Rankings

U.S. News & World Report recently published the 2017 Best High Schools rankings. Pinnacle High School continued to rank as one of the best comprehensive public high schools in Arizona. The publication evaluated nearly 22,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were ranked on state proficiency standards, how well they prepare students for college, and other factors. Touring the Campus at Pinnacle

Pinnacle is pleased to offer tours of our campus for students and parents who meet one of the following criteria:

  • The student lives within Pinnacle's boundaries but is attending an out-of-district school.

  • The student's family is looking to move within Pinnacle's boundaries.

Please note the following:

  • Tours are limited to middle school and high school students and their families.

  • All incoming freshmen from Explorer and Mountain Trail middle schools and their families will have an opportunity to tour Pinnacle at an 8th-grade registration information event held in January each year.

  • Pinnacle does not allow shadowing due to the number of requests and our desire to ensure a safe and appropriate learning environment for our students.

Facility Information

Pinnacle High School represents 340,783 square feet with eight freestanding buildings

  • Building A: Administration Building

  • Building B: Information Technology Center (media center)

  • Building C: Math/Science 

  • Building D: Auditorium/Performing and Visual Arts

  • Building E: Gymnasium and Physical Education

  • Building F: English/Social Studies/World Languages/Career Technical Education

  • Building G: Cafeteria

  • Building H: Athletics and Physical Education

 The 77-acre site also includes four baseball fields, two soccer fields and one football field with track and field facilities.
